Urinal gaming

Thursday, Mar, 28 2013

Among the odd stories I plan to chat about on the Thursday PhilCast show....somewhere in there between the professional sleeper-wanted job opening story....the cussing bird story....the guy who shot a deer in a Wal-Mart parking lot story....there's this little gem; A gaming urinal.

That's right, no need for tech-toy downtime just because a guy has to pee at a baseball game....a minor league team next week unveils this urinal that gives a whole new meaning to 'live streaming' I guess.

Also Thursday, an update on how the recycling cart switch is going in Appleton, including a listener's complaint/suggestion about the process.

And Lips LaBelle will be in studio with the usual Thursday afternoon Hollywood news and gossip segment.

Sweet 16 tonight.
Go Marquette.

Joan Rivers on the PhilCast

Wednesday, Mar, 27 2013

Joan Rivers will be my guest on the PhilCast Wednesday, slated for the segment right after the 4:30 news.

She brings her show to Green Bay's Meyer Theater on Saturday night.

I'm looking forward to our chat today since I'm a fan of at least one of her shows, "Fashion Police", on E! Friday nights.

Naughty Ford ad

Tuesday, Mar, 26 2013

Here is one of the ads that got Ford into trouble in India.

Paris Hilton driving the Kardashians bound and gagged in the back of a car Ford is pitching there.

I guess the idea is to show how much room the little Figo has back there. But the negative backlash now has Ford apologizing and saying the ad should have never gone public.

More on the PhilCast this afternoon.

The sober bartender law in Neenah

Monday, Mar, 25 2013

So how many bars are there in Neenah? It's not exactly a Cudahy, WI, where there are more bars than cats!

Anyway, tomorrow a committee in Neenah will take up a bill that would require all bartenders there to be sober and not be allowed to drink at all while on the job.

What do you think?

I think it makes sense to me and I'll tell you why during the PhilCast today after the 4:30 news when we hope to talk to the mayor and/or some others about this issue.

The problem with this idea though is that once again, not unlike the gun control issue, people who fail to take personal responsibility don't what the government making rules forcing them to do so. It's a time-honored debate with just a different subject matter this time around.
