Harmonica here?

Thursday, Nov, 1 2012

We've got a guest coming in this afternoon for the segment right after the 3:30 news.

There he is at the Grand Canyon.

First blush you might think that comedian Richard Lewis is stopping by, right?

Wrong.

That's Robert Bonfiglio, renowned for his talents on the harmonica, not exactly the first instrument you think of when you think about the symphony.

Robert will be the special featured artist performing with the Fox Valley Symphony Orchestra at the PAC Saturday.

Learn more about him and the gig on the PhilCast this afternoon. I hope he brings his harp!

.....

Tomorrow is the big day, as we kick off sales of our charity DVD, "The PhilCast; Third Time's a Charm" with a live show at the Red Ox Seafood and Steakhouse in Appleton. All proceeds will go to the Thompson Community Center of Appleton, as we give back something to the community throughout the holiday season.

Try a special "Philsh Fry" while you are there because $5.00 from every dine-in or take-out Philsh Fry will also be donated to the TCC. They'll be serving up the special all day and all night at the Red Ox. We'll be there from 3-6 live.

Reggie will be there selling the DVD's and some PhilCast gear as well. While supplies last we'll throw in a copy of last year's DVD and a PhilCast show stock certificate to those who make the $15.00 donation to the cause.

Mrs. Biggest Name (a.k.a. hurricane Sandy) will be there too. Pippa will do her ReciPIPPA the Week live as well.
Tony Gonzales, the director of the Thompson Community Center will stop by, as will Brenda "Big B" from Bulk Priced Foods, Handy Andy, Kris Kraft and more.

See you there tomorrow!

Halloween tradition

Wednesday, Oct, 31 2012

Happy Halloween.

Yes, I'll play the AFN 'Frankenstein's Castle' bit this afternoon at about 4:45-ish. A blast from my radio past.

Also today, LeRoy Butler is coming on the show to talk about this new Cheesebed for Cheeseheads.

We never got to the story yesterday because once I found out LeRoy was now the spokesperson for the new creation from Verlo I wanted to talk to him directly about it.

Silly?

Perhaps. But for the rabid Cheesehead Packers' fan it may just be a must-have.

Either way, he sure looks comfy there with his cheese pillows at the ready.

Rest your weary cheesehead on this

Tuesday, Oct, 30 2012

Combine mattress maker Verlo with cheesehead maker Foamation and what do you get?

This....

The Cheese Bed.

You call yourself a Packers' fan and you're sleeping on a regular mattress? Bah...

Gotta have it or I'll pass?

We'll discuss on the Tuesday PhilCast.

Plus I'll open with a review of the TV news coverage of Hurricane Sandy. Meantime, I wish people would stop saying all these nasty things about my wife.

The PhilCast 'Extreme Team' will be all over the story today....and that's a hint about where I'll start.

What's your price?

Monday, Oct, 29 2012

What's your price?

This guy's was 15-grand.

He auctioned off his face and now has a Romney campaign tatt on his melon for life.

Good thing he says he's a Republican at least I guess.

Oh, now he's offering up his forehead in case you are interested.

We'll discuss on the Monday PhilCast in the 4:00 hour after Pack Yak with Rich Ratay, and MAYBE Frank Caliendo.

If you caught any of my Sunday football tweeting you know I was lobbying Frank to call the show today to chat with Rich Ratay and me during Pack Yak.

If you missed Frank's piece on ESPN yesterday, you HAVE to catch his Gruden. OMG I was crying I was laughing so hard. Dead spot on. Not only does he have Gruden's voice down, Frank has nailed the 'scowl'. And with the wig, man, you'd swear it's Gruden.

So much for Madden. Move over puppet Madden, a new Jon is in town now.

Between Frank's bit and then Dan Dierdorf calling the Packers' game Sunday I was sitting in my chair doing impersonations all afternoon.
