Harrison?

Tuesday, Feb, 19 2013

I'm confused.

Being somewhat new to the area (and still waiting for our home in SE Wisconsin to sell before buying our house in the Fox Valley) I'm still learning all the little burbs and burg names, from Greenville to Grand Chute, from Kaukauna to Little Chute.

Harrison....an interesting case.

Is it a town or a village? That's up for debate and a vote in today's election. And while residents work that whole name thing out I am still trying to figure out exactly where Harrison is. And how does Darboy play into all this?

We'll chat it up as part of the Tuesday PhilCast. And if you live there I'd love to talk to you about it today on the show....give me a call.

What would Al Roker do?

Monday, Feb, 18 2013

Now there is actually scientific proof...

The 'bottom' line on in-flight flatulence is in and the experts say to let 'er rip!

Turns out that it's better for you to pass gas at 30-thousand feet than to hold it in.

Wait till you hear some of the suggestions for how to best deal with this issue.

We'll discuss on the Monday PhilCast, along with "Howz Yer Weekend?" and the story of a guy who slapped a crying kid on a plane...and it wasn't HIS kid either!

Talk to you this afternoon.

Picture & audio of the meteor hitting Russia

Friday, Feb, 15 2013

Yeah, these things hardly ever hit Earth, right?

There's pretty cool audio of this meteor crashing into Russia.

I used some of it to make an interesting open for the Friday PhilCast.

Check it out when we start today's show right after the 3:00 newscast with the latest on this story.

Also today, how Charlie Sheen shows his softer side, and it involves Wisconsin.

Plus, two of the three national finalists for making up a new flavor of Lays potato chip also have Wisconsin ties.

"Drip of the Week" brought to you by Watters Plumbing and the ReciPIPPA the Week also on tap.

Roses or a sewer tour?

Thursday, Feb, 14 2013

From the most expensive roses on the planet to a romantic tour of the sewer system in New York...What to get your main squeeze on VD?

Those stories plus the lady who drank two gallons of Coke per day. I hope it was worth it because she's dead now.

The most and least dependable cars list is out and I'll go over that today.

Plus PhilCast Family member "Emily the Library Whatever" fills (Phil's?) in for the vacationing Lips LaBelle today with Hollywood news and gossip along with some predictions for the Oscars. That's at 4:30-ish. We're done at 5:00 today when Badgers' pre-game hits the air on WHBY.

"Mac" rocked Westminster

Wednesday, Feb, 13 2013

It was clear from the start at last night's Westminster show that our PhilCast buddy "Mac" here was fired up to be there.

Airborne on the walk of fame on national TV!

Looked like when the terrier group first came onto the stage Mac knocked over a sign too.

He was pumped.

Ironically, that excitement is something his 'mom' back home in Wisconsin, Julie Seaton mentioned was a bit of a concern to her....something she brought up during her interview with us yesterday.

No matter. It was quite an honor to be best of breed among the Australian terriers. It was also fun to have a local dog we at the PhilCast are connected to make the televised finals on the last night of competition.

Job well done Mac!
