Highway or Freeway?
Will someone please tell me what all the fuss is about regarding the future of Highway 41?All this week public meetings are being held to talk about the advantages of making the biggest route into our neck of the woods a freeway rather than a highway.
Now aside from the cost of putting up those green and white signs telling travelers they're on a freeway (at a cost to taxpayers) what's the big diff? Why bother? Isn't HIGHWAY 41 already for the most part to the standards of what a freeway is anyway?
Tomorrow there will be a meeting here in the Fox Valley about this and at some point this week we'll get someone on the PhilCast to talk about making the change. Whoever it is, maybe he or she can change my mind on this because right now I'm not feeling it.
