It's still a Packer party
Pack Yak kicks things off this week on the PhilCast. I know it's not what fans wanted to see Sunday, but for me it was still a Packer party goin' on, with a tiki bar blender in high gear, several grills smoking on a deck and family from out of state gathered with us around the TV.
Nieces to pieces.
That's Erin on the left, or the "BlenderMaster" as I like to call her...
And Clay there on the right was the reason we had the party...
Ali is the one visiting here with her mom, Sandy's sister from Los Angeles. Sure Ali is a transplant but she remains a Packer fan through and through.
And that little girl on the way (not much showing there near the bottom of the '52' jersey) is going to be named Phyllis...or at least that's what she tells me...mostly I think just to shut me up about bugging her about using a Phil name.
We had a great time, but of course were a bit stunned to see what was happening at Lambeau Field Sunday afternoon. That was a tough loss, dragged out even longer by all the calls and reviews from the refs.
Thing is, we've all been here before. It's the journey that really matters. The ups. The downs. It's all part of being a Packers' fan. The bottom line is that we're in it together and having fun along the way no matter what the final score is.
Rich Ratay and I will break it down and look ahead to the BEARS this Thursday night.
Talk to you at 3:00.
