Assignment Fox Cities

Monday, Aug, 5 2013

Outagamie county officials are developing a program to aid judges in making decisions
about children who are abused or neglected.  The program is called Court-Appointed
Special Advocates, or CASA.   Under the program CASA would function as a Guardian
Ad Litem, but as a volunteer lay person.   You'll find the story online at whby.com, under
Audio Vault.  Judge John Des Jardins hopes the program can be up-and-running by 2014.

Assignment Fox Cities

Saturday, Aug, 3 2013

The City of Seymour takes pride in its designation as the
"home of the hamburger."   It's equally as proud of its community
museum and general store.  Both offer a marvelous collection of
memorabilia, of the way things used to be.
To get a sampling of what is offered, listen to Assignment Fox
Cities Tuesday, August 6th, at 6:45 a.m., 12:45 p.m. and 5:45 p.m.
This year's celebration of "home of the hamburger" is set for
Friday and Saturday, August 9th and 10th.   Two days of food, fun and
family activities.   And set aside an hour or so for a visit to the museum
and general store, fun places to be.

The Seymour Community Museum and General Store should be a destination when you visit the city
in northern Outagamie county.  Both are attractions that should appeal to you,  regardless of age.
I toured both of the attractions recently and learned they are inviting places to visit.    Hear the story on
Assignment Fox Cities on our website, whby.com.  It will be posted Tuesday, July 23, 2013.

Wisconsin Butterfly Garden

Friday, Jul, 19 2013

Jack Voight of Appleton has built and operates Butterfly Gardens of Wisconsin.  The gardens
are nestled on eight-acres along Highway 47, about two-miles north of Highway 41.  If you
haven't seen it yet, you're in for a treat.  Voight says it's his hobby.   From what I have
seen, it's a passion.  To hear the full story and see more pictures click here.
