Assignment Fox Cities

The drug of choice in the Fox Valley is heroin and the number of seizures by law
enforcement is on the rise.
The agency leading the fight against trafficking, use and abuse of heroin is the MEG
Unit, a multi-county agency.   On a scale of 1 to 10, Project Manager Brad Dunlap says
the problem is a 10.
According to Dunlap, the potency of the heroin coming into the market remains high,
but the purity has decreased, making it dangerous to the end-user.    Additionally, the
number of deaths from overdosing is on the rise.
You can hear the entire report on our website, whby.com., under Audio Vault and
Assignment Fox Cities.  As part of the report, Dunlap has a message for parents,
because high school students are being targeted by the peddlers.
