Assignment Fox Cities

April is considered tornado awareness month, a month set aside to remind
us that these powerful storms are capable of ravaging entire communities.  As
in the past, the National Weather Service will conduct a drill to prepare us for
the season that lies ahead.  This year, that drill is on April 24th.
Our Assignment Fox Cities on April 18th details the work of the NWS.  Chief
Meteorologist  Jeff Last talks about Doppler Radar, enhancements made to
the system, how the agency predicts what may be bearing down on a community,
what is considered tornado alley, and much more.
We may have heard the information before, but as we are in the midst of
tornado awareness month, it bears repeating for our safety.
You can catch the programs on WHBY Friday, April 18th,  at 6:45 a.m.,
12:45 p.m. and 5:45 p.m.  You'll find Mr. Last very knowledgeable and committed
to his craft.
