Ray Waiter

The fight against use and abuse of heroin in the Fox Valley continues unabated,
with some officials calling it "an uphill battle." and law enforcement agencies
making the fight a top priority.
Also engaged in the battle are two former heroin addicts, Doug Darby of
Green Bay and Anthony Alvarado of Appleton, both of whom are now sober.
Darby and Alvarado conduct a program entitled Rise Together, with their
primary audience our younger generation.   Their campaign is to get to them
before they get started.
Hear their stories in a five-part series entitled "Heroin, Hell and Healing."
You'll find it on our website, whby.com, under Audio Vault and Assignment
Fox Cities.
     The series is an eye-opener.
