Assignment Fox Cities

     The Assignment Fox Cities detailing the life and legacy of former Lawrence
University president Rik Warch will be broadcast on WHBY Thursday,
November 14th, at 6:45 a.m., 12:45 p.m. and 5:45 p.m.  
     In this four-minute feature, co-workers and friends will share their stories
of what Warch meant to the university he loved and served for 25 years.
     A memorial service for Warch is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday,
November 16th, in the Lawrence Chapel.  He died two-months ago at  his
retirement home in Ellison Bay.
     The program is worth a listen.

     A memorial service for former Lawrence University president Richard "Rik" Warch is
set for 11 a.m. Saturday, November 16th, in the Lawrence University Chapel,.  Warch died
in mid-September at his retirement home in Ellison Bay.
     In this Assignment Fox Cities program, staff members with whom he worked talk about
Warch's life and legacy, his love of the university and the community.

     Yee Lee Vue is a Hmong Family Outreach Specialist at the Appleton Public Library.   In
that role, Yee visits Hmong homes, urging parents to engage their children in reading, even
if it's only picture books to start.
     Born in a refugee camp in Thailand, Yee and her family moved to America in 1991, settling
in Appleton.   Through hard work, Yee earned a bachelor's degree in business and a master's
degree in library science.  Reading and teaching are her passion.

       For the past two years, local school officials have been conducting screenings of adolescents
to determine their state of mind to insure they do not have thoughts of harming themselves.  The
program is called Teen Screen, a two-step process that involves a series of computerized
questions and a meeting with a counselor, if needed.
       Project Manager Sarah Bassing-Sutton details the program on Assignment Fox Cities, heard
on WHBY Thursday, October 31st, at 6:45 a.m., 12:45 p.m. and 5:45 p.m.
       It's worth a listen.

     Time Warner Cable Field at Fox Cities Stadium, home of the Timber Rattlers baseball
team, underwent a major renovation and is now getting some year-round use.    Fun events,
such as weddings and  proms,  and corporate meetings are only part of the story.    Timber
Rattlers President Rob Zerjav has the entire story on Assignment Fox Cities, posted on
