Assignment Fox Cities

As you watch the Green Bay Packers home football games you recognize the players
and coaches, but rarely do you pay attention to the "chain gang."   They're the ones who
keep tabs on yards gained and the downs.
A member of that chain gang is Outagamie County Judge John Des Jardins, who has been
performing those sideline chores for about 13 years.   Des Jardins had those duties at the
high school level, but  wanted to take it up a notch.   So he applied to the Packers and
was hired in 2000.
Des Jardins is 5 foot 8,  weighs 150 pounds, and admits "it's pretty humbling" sharing
the sidelines with the those giants of the NFL.   The story is posted on our website, whby.com,
under Audio Vault.   You're sure to enjoy it.
