Legion almost has enough raised for road bill

After spending several months finding different ways to bring in money, the American Legion Post in the Appleton area almost has enough for a road assessment.

Grand Chute is rebuilding a street, and the Legion faces a bill of about $115,000.

Laurel Coewell is an administrator for Post 38. She says they're nearly $3,000 short. She says it's been a tense past year, and they're almost at their big moment.

Coewell says they got a lot of help through the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region, and special events like their summer corn roast.
