Police investigated a potential threat to Kimberly high school on social media last night.
Fox Valley Metro Officer Michael Lambie says two students were involved in two posts on Instagram. He says one was a picture of a student with an assault-style rifle. The other was of Columbine high school, and the two shooters in that attack.
Lambie says investigators talked with the teens, and searched their homes and vehicles. He says they determined there was not a credible threat.
Lambie says the gun turned out to be an air-soft rifle.
He says police are working with the Outagamie County district attorney's office to determine if the two students should face criminal charges.
