Report: Voucher schools get more per student

A report from a non-partisan agency shows private voucher schools around the state would get more money, per student than public schools.

The Legislative Fiscal Bureau found that the average voucher payment for a K-8 student would be over $7,5000, under Governor Walker's proposed budget. The figure would be nearly $8,200 for a high school student.

That compares to $6,700 in state aid for each public school student.

Democratic opponents of the taxpayer-funded voucher program asked for the report.
