A former Republican lawmaker is talking about President Trump's nominee for the U.S. Supreme Court.
The Senate Judiciary Committee is starting the confirmation hearings for Neil Gorsuch today.
Former Congressman Reid Ribble of Sherwood says Gorsuch has done a good job, visiting U.S. Senators from both sides of the aisle. He believes Gorsuch will be confirmed.
Ribble says Democrats that are up for re-election in states that Trump won in the presidential election may be inclined to vote for Gorsuch. Democratic U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin of Madison will be on the ballot in 2018. She has said in the past that she'll vote against the nomination.
Ribble was a guest on Fresh Take with Josh Dukelow on WHBY this morning.
