Board to decide next move for treasurer's office
1 0

Members of the Outagamie County board will have to decide how to move forward with the treasurer's office.

Newly elected treasurer Jack Voight is resigning. He says he can't work 40 hours a week because of health concerns.

County Board Chair Jeff Nooyen says there are a number of options to fill the position for the remainder of Voight's term. He says they could hold a special election in the spring or fall of next year.

The board could also pick an interim treasurer until there's an election.

Voight hired one of his opponents in the Republican primary, Trenten Woelfel, to be the deputy treasurer. The county's longtime deputy treasurer resigned this spring.
