ThedaCare's new CEO drawn by reputation, culture
1 0

The new leader of ThedaCare is coming to the Fox Cities from Toledo, Ohio.

Dr. Imran Andrabi will take over as the president and CEO of the largest employer in the area. He's been leading Mercy Health in the Toledo region.

Andrabi says ThedaCare is a very well known health system. He says in past years, he's sent representatives from Mercy Health to the ThedaCare to learn from things that were happening.

He says when the job opened up, it was something he was very interested in exploring. Once he started meeting people at ThedaCare and in the community, Andrabi says he learned there's a great culture.

John Davis is the president of ThedaCare's board of trustees. He says the board and other groups that were involved with the search unanimously picked Andrabi. He says they found him to be highly intelligent but not arrogant, and thoughtful but not indecisive.

Andrabi will work with retiring CEO Dean Gruner during a transition period, starting in mid-June.
