Non-profit will donate new K-9 to Oshkosh police

A non-profit group will help Oshkosh police replace a retired K-9.

Altrusa International of Oshkosh is donating enough money to buy a new dog and provide the training with its handler.

Officer Joe Nichols says Sony left the department earlier this month, and another dog, named Gucci, will retire in a couple of months. He says they're looking for contributions to get a second dog. He says that would give the department three K-9s.

Members of Altrusa presented their donation to the department this week.
