Freedom-area kids headed to robotics competition
2 0

Some elementary school students from the Freedom area are headed to a worldwide robotics competition.

The FreedomBots organization gets kids involved in the STEM program at an earlier age than a number of other communities.

Angie Shepard of FreedomBots says their students make up two of the three teams that advanced from a recent statewide competition.

The team is leaving for Louisville, Kent. for the worldwide competition. Over 1,000 teams will participate, between Sunday and Tuesday.

I hear the competition will be not only in Louisville, Kent, but also in Nashville. My school students are creating a team to participate too.
