A group is talking with a church in Appleton to give the homeless a place to go during the day.
Joe Mauthe is with the Fox Cities Housing Coalition. He says the day center would also give agencies a chance to connect people with services.
He says they hope to partner with St. Matthew Lutheran Church, near the corner of College Avenue and Mason Street. Mauthe says they’re getting a lot of support from the Lutheran parish.
He says they’re working to put together funding. He hopes to start the program early next year
