1 0

Tourism had a $20 billion impact on the state's economy last year.

Governor Walker revealed that record-breaking number during a stop in downtown Appleton this afternoon.

He also toured the site of the Fox Cities Exhibition Center. The governor says the facility will have a big impact for the tourism industry in the area.

Walker says the tourism impact in Outagamie County last year was almost $600 million. The total in Brown County was more than $1 billion. It was over $460 million in Winnebago County.
