Gallagher: Planned town hall is politically motivated
0 0

A Republican congressman is talking more about town halls.

Eighth district Congressman Mike Gallagher will be out of town when a group scheduled one in Green Bay and invited him.

Gallagher believes the liberal group One Wisconsin Now is involved. He thinks the goal is "political theater" and distraction.

The lawmaker from Green Bay says he recently held a town hall meeting with about 100 workers at Thrivent Financial in Appleton. He says Democratic Congressman Mark Pocan of Madison was there as well.

Gallagher says he's also done a number of telephone town halls, like his predecessor, former Republican Congressman Reid Ribble.

Gallagher was on Fresh Take with Josh Dukelow this morning on WHBY.
