Walmart backs out of Commerce Crossing plan

One Kaukauna official says he's disappointed that Walmart pulled out of a deal to build a new store in Commerce Crossing at the site of the former Greyhound Dog Park on I-41 and Hwy. 55.

Alderman Tom Mc Ginnis says the city is still $100,000 richer because the company put up that money as a retention fee to hold the land.

Mc Ginnis says there are a number of things that may or may not happen now.

The city council will take up the issue again on Tuesday.
