Ashwaubenon police say an officer underwent two surgeries
since he was hit by a suspected drunk driver late Saturday night.
Capt. Jody Crocker says Officer Brian Murphy is in critical but stable condition. The 34-year-old is a two-year veteran of the department.
Crocker says Murphy was hit on I-41 South near Waube Lane, while he was directing traffic away from a vehicle fire.
Police arrested a 28-year-old Greenleaf woman for driving drunk. Crocker says Murphy was wearing a reflective safety vest, and there were flares along the road.
