The 2023 Spring Election will be on April 4th this year, and most voters in Wisconsin are well aware of the stakes for the state depending on the outcome. What people might not be as aware of though, is that they will be voting on 3 statewide referenda as well.
One question is pretty straight forward asking what type of person should be eligible for welfare. The other 2, however, are not as easy to understand and could potentially lead to some confusion at the ballot box.
In order to add some clarity to the situation, I was joined by Wisconsin State Senator Chris Larson to shed some light on what each of these referenda are asking. We also went on to discuss what bail systems could benefit the average Wisconsinite, outside of traditional cash bail. The conversation concluded with us taking a look at a new bill that would propose significantly stricter punishment drug dealers selling fentanyl that could end up causing some unforeseen consequences.
