No Downtown Appleton Christmas parade this year but the spirit of Santa Clause will continue and with a plan to visit our community ahead of the holidays. Did you know that October is National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month? I didn’t know until last year. September of 2019 was a difficult time for my family. We had a miscarriage. I am 1 in 4. Many of you might know that little ones born after loss, are called Rainbow babies. Our little boy is my rainbow.
ThedaCare hosts a walk each October, to support families who have suffered loss. This year’s Walk to Remember will be held virtually, but the message is still the same — to honor and remember babies born silently in to this world, those who were born and fought but could not stay, and those we never had the opportunity to meet.
