The plans to have a new boardwalk over the Fox River between Kaukauna and Little Chute by next summer are still on track.
Little Chute Parks and Recreation Director Adam Breest says they’re still working to get a variety of agencies to sign off on the project. Once that’s done, he’ll apply for permit through the DNR.
Breest thinks it will take six months to build the boardwalk, and they hope to start in the spring of next year.
He says they’re still raising money for the project, and their current total is around $2.7 million. The project is expected to cost about $3.3 million.
