If people are heading west and north of the Fox Valley for the Thanksgiving holiday, they could run into some bad road conditions today.
DOT spokesman Mark Kantola says many highways are at least snow covered.
He says the peak travel times over the weekend are expected to be this afternoon, and then on Sunday.
AAA Wisconsin is projecting that 1.2 million people will travel at least 50 miles over the next several days.
Kantola says there aren’t any major highway projects or lane closures in northeast Wisconsin this year. There is construction on the interstates, south of Milwaukee and Madison.
