Home sales climbed by three percent last month, after a rough start to the summer for the housing market.
Economist David Clark of the Wisconsin Realtors Association says the statewide median price last month was up nearly seven percent, to $205,000. Inventories rose by about two percent, and he says that helped the tight market a little.
Home sales in June dropped by almost 10 percent, compared to a year earlier.
In the northeast region, sales climbed by almost four percent, and the median price increased by 11 percent to $174,000.
