Police say a drug raid at a hotel in Grand Chute could be the largest meth bust ever in northeast Wisconsin.
Brown County District Attorney David Lasee says they found about 60 pounds of meth, and that’s putting a “serious dent” in the region’s supply.
Investigators say 26-year-old Derek Liebergen would travel from out of state, and rent a hotel room in the Appleton area to sell large amounts of drugs. Police also found about two pounds of heroin or fentanyl, and a handgun in the room.
Liebergen is facing federal charges.
