A player for the Milwaukee Bucks filed a federal lawsuit against police after officers used a taser on him in January.
Guard Sterling Brown is accusing police of discriminating against him because he’s black. The lawsuit argues officers could have simply issued a ticket for a parking violation instead of “unlawfully discriminating against Mr. Brown on the basis of his race.”
He was detained after he was double-parked in a handicap spot outside a Walgreens.
Officers swarmed Brown and took him down when he didn’t immediately remove his hands from his pockets.
