The City of Neenah is moving all voting to the former Shopko store for next Tuesday’s election.
Mayor Dean Kaufert says the building along Green Bay Road has been empty for months. He says there’s plenty of room for all six polling places to be in one place, and make sure voters are practicing social distancing.
Kaufert says the city reached out to the owners of the building, and they agreed to let the city use the former store.
He says it didn’t make sense to have voters going to the police and fire departments, when the city is taking a number of steps to keep officers and firefighters healthy.
