Top Republicans in the Legislature are criticizing Governor Tony Evers’ and Madison’s mayor over violent protests in the city last night.
Assembly Majority Leader Jim Steineke of Vandenbroek is calling Governor Evers’ reaction to yesterday’s violence “weak-kneed leadership.”
Senate President Roger Roth of Appleton says the actions last night has nothing to do with civil rights.
The Governor says he’s prepared to call in the Wisconsin National Guard.
Steineke thinks the guard should be called in now.
