The financial impact of the coronavirus epidemic is expected to leave more people living paycheck-to-paycheck.
State Department of Financial Institutions Secretary Kathy Blumenfeld says their annual survey found fewer than half could afford a $400 emergency expense. She believes that’s a staggering statistic.
Blumenfeld is concerned the percentage is going to be even higher when they do the survey next year. She thinks the $600 weekly federal unemployment bonus has been a lifesaver for many people.
