FREDERIC, Wis. — A western Wisconsin woman with ties to Northeast Wisconsin is reported missing.
Krystamarie Welch, 22, was reportedly last seen getting into an unknown vehicle in the Polk County village of Frederic early Sunday morning. According to her boyfriend, Welch was falsely informed by an unknown person that her niece was injured and in distress at a hospital.
Welch reportedly has ties to Oshkosh and Green Bay, as well as the state of Maine. She has a history of mental illness and is no longer taking mental health-related medication, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
Welch is described as 5 feet tall and 145 pounds, with hazel eyes and brown hair with blonde tips. She was last seen wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt with “Pro Lawn” on it, camouflage leggings, black shoes and a silver ring on the ring finger of her left hand. She also wears glasses, has a c section scar on her abdomen and has a “wolf paw” tattoo on the outside of her right bicep.
Anyone who locates Welch should contact the Polk County Sheriff’s Office or a local law enforcement agency.
