News » Driver who killed three had .247 BAC
July 2, 2009 The Ashwaubenon man who killed three young people in a crash last month had a blood-alcohol level that's three times the legal limit. Brown County medical examiner Al Klimek says tests show Stephen Siebert had a level of .247 when he died in the wreck on Highway 41.
Siebert was going in the wrong direction on the highway when he collided head-on with a car driven by 20-year-old Paige Riley-Berg. Riley-Berg was from Menasha, but recently moved to South Carolina. 17-year-old Arielle Lewandowski of Menasha and 19-year-old Samuel Goudy of Neenah were also killed.
Klimek says tests showed Riley-Berg had no traces of alcohol in her blood.
Brown County investigators are asking for the public's help to find out where Siebert was from 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 18 until the time of the crash at 1:30 a.m. on Friday, June 19. |
