News » Census bureau holding applicant tests in Appleton
Jan. 11, 2010 People who want to earn some money helping with this year's U.S. Census can apply for part-time and full-time positions, but first they have to take a test.
Don Zimmer is the manager of the Oshkosh census bureau office, and he says they're holding them on the next two Saturdays at the Appleton public library.
He says they're grading each applicant's skills in reading, numbers and comprehension. He says most of the jobs will start in April, but some will start now.
Zimmer says practice tests are posted on the U.S. Census Bureau's Web site, along with information on the various test days and locations.
