Neenah's school board is expected to make a final decision tonight on two point eight million dollars in budget cuts.
School board president Scott Thompson says the plan includes controversial cuts to the elementary strings programs, and fifth grade band. He says the public had an opportunity to weigh in on the proposals two weeks ago, and people will have another chance at tonight's meeting.
Thompson says it's not easy to make the cuts, but they have to balance the budget. He says the only way they can do that is by reducing staff and programs. |
