News » Rotary Club packs medical supplies for Haiti
Jan. 27, 2010 Members of the Rotary Club of Appleton are pitching in to help the earthquake victims in Haiti.
For more than 15 years, the organization has been sending medical supplies to countries around the world, and last night, about 25 volunteers packed large boxes.
Ron Altenburg helped set things up at a Goodwill facility in Appleton last night. He says the volunteers are Rotarians, as well as their family and friends.
The supplies range from crutches, to walkers and braces.
Altenburg says they actually send supplies to needy countries on a monthly basis. In the past, they've helped people in Jamaica, Pakistan and South Africa. |
