News » Charges expected today against Rosenthal

Jan. 29, 2010
Manitowoc County prosecutors are expected to file a concealing a corpse charge today against a Chilton man suspected of killing his longtime girlfriend.

Investigators believe 51-year-old Roger Rosenthal hid the body of 39-year-old Michelle Jaeger in a wooded area east of Brillion, where he hunts.

Calumet County Sheriff Jerry Pagel says murder charges could be filed eventually, but right now investigators are trying to figure out if Jaeger was killed in Calumet or Manitowoc County.

Authorities haven't released the results of an autopsy yet, but court records show that Jaeger had blunt force trauma to the back of her head.  Investigators say they found some of the same items that were used to hide Jaeger's body at Rosenthal's home.
