News » Retiree running for Kaukauna mayor

Jan. 29, 2010
The three-way race for Kaukauna mayor includes a retiree with management experience.

Gary Vohs is running against two-term incumbent Gene Rosin and business owner Brad Beckman.

Vohs says he's concerned about the amount of city debt. He says it's at 80 percent of the state limit, but it should be at 25 to 30 percent.

Vohs says he has 30 years of management experience in the construction and piping industries, and as the director of buildings and grounds at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Appleton.

Voters will head to the polls on February 16 to narrow the field from three to two. The top two vote-getters will square off in the April general election.
