News » Miracle League holding open house in Appleton

Jan. 29, 2010
A new baseball league for children with physical and mental disabilities is starting this summer, and organizers are holding an open house tomorrow.

Lisa Robbins is with the Miracle League of the Fox Valley, and she says parents will be able to learn more about the league and register. She says they'll probably have games on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday nights, but they won't know for sure until people start signing up.

The group plans to start construction on a customized rubber field at Memorial Park this spring. Robbins says so far, they've collected about 70 percent of their fundraising goal.

Tomorrow's open house is at Players Choice in Appleton from noon to 2 p.m.
