News » Group thinks high speed rail will be popular
Feb. 1, 2010 Funding for the state's first high-speed rail line is "tremendous news" for the state's economy and environment. That's the feeling of Steve Hiniker of 1,000 Friends of Wisconsin.

Wisconsin will get $810 million-in federal stimulus funding for the project. The state department of transportation hopes to build a passenger rail line between Green Bay and Milwaukee in the coming years |
