News » Fund set up for Combined Locks fire victims
Feb. 3, 2010 The family of the Combined Locks fire chief lost its home in a fire Monday, and friends are hoping the c ommunity will help.
Combined Locks police chief Scott Lund says they established a "Carney Family Fire Fund" at all Capitol Credit Union locations. He says village staff members are thinking about the Chief Kevin Carney.
Carney's wife Lisa works at Appleton North high school, and the school is holding a fundraiser on tomorrow and Friday nights, during the girls and boys basketball games.
When firefighters arrived at the Carney's home in the 200 block of Hidden Ridges Way Monday afternoon, the house was fully engulfed in flames. Lund says they're still trying to pinpoint the cause. |
