News » Group wants to hear World War II stories
Feb. 9, 2010 A Green Bay group wants to talk to as many World War II veterans as possible to preserve their stories in books, for future generations.
Old Glory Honor Flights officials say too many of the veterans pass away without telling their stories, and it's important for people to know what they experienced.
Scott Delsart is the chair of the organization's education committee. He says they've already talked with a number of veterans, but they need more.
He says they're also looking for aspiring authors to interview the veterans and write the stories.
Delsart says they plan to print the first book this summer. Old Glory Honor Flights also brings veterans to Washington D.C. to see the World War II memorial. Proceeds from the book sales will fund future flights. |
