News » Barber shop owner running for Neenah mayor

Feb. 11, 2010
A small business owner in Neenah hopes to become the city's next mayor.

Barber Tony Belling and three others are on Tuesday's primary ballot. He says he'll look for ways to save money by cutting excessive spending.

Belling says he's also concerned about the number of roundabouts that are in the works around the city. He says they do work in some areas, but he thinks the city is being too aggressive with them.

Two-term incumbent mayor George Scherek is one of the other three candidates for mayor. The top two vote-getters on Tuesday will move on to the April election.
