News » Appleton school recognized for high scores

Feb. 18, 2010
A group of school administrators is recognizing an Appleton school for its high test scores.

Appleton's Einstein middle school is one of four named as a school of excellence by the Wisconsin School Administrators Association.  The award is given to schools that have high reading or math scores, or show significant improvement in those areas.

Einstein principal Dave Boden says his school is getting the award for the medium-size schools.

He says the school's teachers deserve much of the credit by working closely with their students.  But he says the parents also deserve a pat on the back for pushing their children to succeed.

Boden says that parent and teacher combination is essential for good performance in school.
