News » Eagle Flats project has apartments for a reason
Feb. 19, 2010 After studying the market, developers of the Eagle Flats project in the Appleton flats learned that apartments were the best fit.
Randy Stadtmueller gave the public a chance to talk about his plans last night, and he says they were eyeing the site of the former Riverside paper mill two years ago. He says they had to delay "Eagle Flats" because of the economy.
Appleton community development director Karen Harkness says the project would restore an under-utilized property. She says it's a great compliment to the RiverHeath development, as well as the plans for the former Foremost plant along the Fox River.
The plans also call for some commercial buildings in the $20 million first phase. The site of the project stretches from Lawe to Olde Oneida Street. |
