News » Argument over wedding led to stabbing
Feb. 19, 2010 An Appleton man is accused of stabbing one of his brothers, after an argument over wedding plans.
Court records say 26-year-old Yang Xiong was angry that his mother and another brother wouldn't let him get married. When the 23-year-old victim stopped at their house on E. Edgemere Drive to break up the fight, Xiong is accused of stabbing him in the right side of his upper chest.
Court records say the victim was trying to grab Xiong's knife at the time.
Xiong is charged with first-degree reckless injury, aggravated battery and disorderly conduct.
Family members took the victim to St. Elizabeth's Hospital, and doctors say he suffered a punctured lung. |
