President Obama changed courses in his fight to change the health care system yesterday when he introduced his version of a reform measure.
Last year he tried to take a hands off approach, but Lawrence University Political Science Professor Arnold Schober says that wasn't working.
Obama also posted his proposal on-line. Shober says that will make the process more transparent, and could lead to a more intelligent debate.
But Shober says it will be very difficult for Congress to pass a health care reform bill this year, because most lawmakers have already made up their mind. |
