A 21-year-old man was arrested last night following a fatal traffic accident in the town of Woodville.
Captain Paul Rusch of the Calumet County sheriff's department says it happened west of Forrest Junction when a car on Marx Road failed to stop at a stop sign and hit a vehicle drive by Giselle Schultz on Highway 10. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Rusch says the driver who ran the stop sign fled the scene, but was arrested a short time later. He says Omar Lopez-Scott could face several charges, including hit and run causing death.
Authorities are waiting for test results to see if alcohol was a factor in the crash. |
